SOUTHERN ALBERTA BRAIN INJURY SOCIETY (SABIS)
SABIS is dedicated to helping adults with acquired brain injury access the supports and services they need in order to live as independently as possible in the community.
SABIS is a registered non-profit that offers lifelong services to survivors at no cost to individuals or their families.
SABIS staff offer support services which include peer-support groups, a companions support group for caregivers and a peer mentorship program. Educational services are also offered to provide more information on the causes and effects of acquired brain injury. Case Managers at SABIS work with individuals to assist in finding and applying for services from government programs and community agencies, advocating for clients when necessary.
We are excited to offer a new program for children and adolescents affected by the brain injury of a loved one. More information can be found under Programs -- BRAINY Support Group.
